The Skoble Family and Paderewski’s Legacy

A Polish Museum of America was honored to welcome Aeon J. Skoble, Professor of Philosophy at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. This visit was especially meaningful to them because Professor Skoble's father, Martin Skoble, generously donated the death mask of Ignacy Jan Paderewski to the Museum in 2014. The mask, cast by Paderewski's friend, the renowned sculptor Malvina Hoffman, is now a treasured part of the Paderewski Room at the PMA. Professor Skoble's visit serves as a touching reminder of the continuity of caring for and preserving Polish culture across generations. They are grateful for the Skoble family's enduring connection to their institution and their contribution to safeguarding the legacy of one of Poland's most distinguished figures.
