St. Adalbert’s Parish in Elmhurst is the oldest Polish parish in Queens, New York, established in 1892. It was founded by Father Jozef Fyda with the support of Bishop John Loughlin. The parish has a rich history of serving the Polish community and has grown significantly over the years.

Historia

The parish was initially formed with 35 Polish families and has expanded to include a diverse community. The current church building was constructed in 1949, replacing the original wooden structure.
