Opis wydarzenia
It was a true celebration of friendship between the Polish and American people—and of the enduring mission of the Kosciuszko Foundation. On Saturday, April 25, we gathered at the splendid Plaza Hotel in New York City for the 89th Annual KF Dinner & Ball—an evening filled with elegance, tradition, and shared purpose. The program featured remarks by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Alex Storozynski, President and Executive Director Marek Skulimowski, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York Mateusz Sakowicz, and Professor Zbigniew Krasiński of Poznań University of Medical Sciences. Guests were welcomed with a Fanfare Trumpet performance by the USMMA Fanfare Trumpet Squadron, followed by the Presentation of Colors by USMMA Midshipmen and the national anthems performed by soprano Magdalena Kuźma. We were proud to honor this year’s recipients: KF Medal of Recognition: Jamie & Stephen Kusmierczak
KF Spirit Award: Kristin Miller The evening continued with a special performance by the Copernicus Children’s Choir, presenting “Kosciuszko’s Compass” under the direction of Bożena Konkiel,
and a beautiful recital by Magdalena Kuźma, winner of the KF Sembrich Competition, accompanied by Michał Skowronek on piano. The Polish American Folk Dance Company presented a vibrant program of traditional Polish dances and led guests in a festive Grand Polonaise, setting the tone for a joyful celebration. We danced the night away to the music of the Gerard Carelli Orchestra. Thank you to our sponsors, media partners, and all our distinguished guests for keeping this remarkable tradition alive for nearly 90 years
