Polish School in Los Angeles, also known as Polish Mother School, was founded in 1952. The school offers education in the Polish language for children from preschool to eighth grade. Classes are held in eight grades, and a zero class is organized for the youngest.
History
The beginnings of educational activity of the California Polish community date back to 1905. In 1952, at the initiative of Zofia Wojciechowska, a new Saturday Polish School was established, which in 1953 adopted the name Polish Mother School.
Mission and goals
The school aims to teach and expand knowledge of the Polish language, learn about Polish history and geography, and promote Polish culture.
