Furniture workshop seeks experienced finisher on Manhattan

Furniture workshop seeks experienced expert finisher/painter/special color mixing. The company was established 25 years ago, specializing in high-end on Manhattan. No cash, must have papers/citizenship – we do not pay in cash, citizenship is required. Location: Bronx, NY 10474.

Requirements: – Minimum 7+ years of experience – Please provide employment history in your response

Skill requirements: – We are looking for a painter for high-end millwork – Proficiency in pre-catalyzed lacquers, water based stains, color lacquers, color-mixing, touch-ups, faux painting, etc. – We create our own custom stains in-house and require the highest level of skill for this position. – You must adhere to safety, health, and hygiene protocols according to DOH, OSHA, CDC, etc.

Job type: Full-time Salary: $47.00 per hour depending on skills

Physical requirements: – You must be able to lift or move up to 80 lbs – You must be able to stand for 8 hours or more

Environmental requirements: – This is a physically demanding position – You must be able to push, pull, move products, equipment, and materials up to 50 lbs – Regularly stand, bend, lift, and move during shifts lasting 8+ hours – You may be exposed to extreme temperature changes, 40 degrees or less, or 85 degrees or more for extended periods and noise – Exposure to dust particles and solvents due to cutting/working with materials in the workshop – You must wear PPE at all times, as this job involves significant exposure to solvents, stains, paints, etc.
