Looking for a live-in caregiver for an 85-year-old man in Ridgewood

We are looking for a reliable, patient, compassionate, and experienced live-in caregiver for an 85-year-old man in Ridgewood, Queens. This is a 24/7 live-in position, and we are seeking someone to hire immediately. The man has many medical and mobility needs and requires significant assistance with daily activities. He has an ileostomy/stoma bag, uses diapers, and needs help transferring in and out of a hospital bed. Duties include:
– assistance with feeding and meal preparation
– lifting and transferring him in and out of bed
– bathing or providing bed baths
– changing diapers and assisting with personal hygiene
– changing and caring for the stoma bag
– light housekeeping
– providing general care and support throughout the day and night as needed.
Note: this is a physically demanding job that involves lifting and transferring an adult. The man also has suspected dementia and may experience periods of confusion, agitation, anger, and difficult behaviors. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is patient, calm, understanding, physically capable, and comfortable caring for a senior with cognitive and behavioral challenges. Previous experience in caring for elderly individuals with significant mobility limitations, dementia, or cognitive impairment, as well as in ileostomy/stoma care, is preferred.
