The Szafrański Sisters: An Evening of Poetic Song at the PMA
The Szafrański Sisters performed an evening of poetic song at the Polish Museum of America, accompanied by Bartek Ciężobka on piano.
Event Description
The Polish Museum of America (PMA) had the pleasure of hosting an Evening of Poetic Song on July 31, featuring the Szafrański Sisters – Izabela and Gabriela Szafrański, accompanied by Bartek Ciężobka on piano. Thank you to everyone who joined us! It was a wonderful evening filled with beautiful music, storytelling and a shared appreciation for Poland’s rich literary and musical heritage. We are grateful to the performers for their inspiring artistry and to everyone who spent the evening with us! As the concert coincided with August 1, the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, we are especially thankful that this evening gave us an opportunity to reflect on the courage, resilience, and spirit of the Polish people. Many of the songs performed have long served as powerful reminders of Poland’s struggle for freedom and the enduring strength of its cultural heritage. Thank you for coming and celebrating with us. We look forward to welcoming you back to the PMA for future programs and events!
