Krankenhaus Waldfriede

Waldfriede Hospital is a private hospital in Berlin that provides top-level medical services and nursing care, combining them with human support. This hospital is an academic hospital of Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin and an academic hospital of HMU Health and Medical University Potsdam. Each year, approximately 15,000 inpatients and 100,000 outpatients are treated here. As a local hospital, Waldfriede has a social responsibility for the residents of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, but also for all Berliners and residents of Brandenburg, as well as patients from near and far. The hospital's goal is to maintain patients' health, treat their diseases, provide humanitarian aid, and convey Christian and ethical values. Since its establishment in 1920, the hospital's medical activities have been based on holistic concepts of prevention and therapy for the good of the whole person. Waldfriede enjoys a very high reputation in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district and beyond the borders of Berlin, due to its medical specialization and diversity. The hospital is developing as a comprehensive health center, also internationally, as evidenced by its collaboration with Advent Health in Orlando/Florida (one of the most extensive and largest hospital networks in the United States) and Loma Linda University in California. Waldfriede Hospital is proud to be the only training center for robotics in pancreatic surgery for Intuitive, a European training center for colorectal surgery, and an oncology center of the Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft (DKG) with quality certification according to DIN ISO 9001. Additionally, the hospital is "fear-free," which makes the hospital stay easier for many patients. The Waldfriede network has become one of the most diverse providers of medical services and nursing care in southwestern Berlin, and with around 950 employees, it is also one of the largest employers and training centers in the district.
