About the Parish

St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, established in 1925, is a Roman Catholic parish and Archdiocesan Shrine of St. John Paul II in Linden, NJ. The parish was founded to serve the spiritual well-being of the Polish community in Linden.

History

The first Mass was celebrated in 1925 for twenty people. In 1926, construction of a new church and school began. In 1954, the construction of a new church, separate from the school, commenced. The parish has undergone many renovations and expansions to accommodate the growing number of parishioners.
