About Our School
The Polish Supplementary School of the Polish Union of America was founded in 1953 by members of the Polish Union of America (Z.P.A.) in Perth Amboy, NJ. The school offers classes in Polish, including language, history, geography, and religion. Classes are held on Saturdays at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Sayreville.
Curriculum
The school runs preschool, grades 1-8, and high school grades 9-11. In 2016, a Polish as a Second Language (PSL) class was introduced, allowing for the learning of Polish from the basics. The school also offers physical education classes.
History
The school was established by Polish emigrants after World War II who wanted to preserve Polish heritage and pass it on to future generations. Initially, classes were held in the ZPA community center on State Street.
