← All gamesPlay Bricks online for free — a classic arcade game in the spirit of the 1970s and 80s coin-ops. Bounce the ball with the paddle at the bottom of the screen and smash the coloured rows of bricks: the higher the row, the more points it is worth. Where the ball hits the paddle controls the bounce angle, so you can aim at specific bricks. Clear the board to advance to the next level with a new layout and a faster ball. You have three lives — control the paddle with the mouse, a finger drag or the arrow keys. Your best score is saved in your browser.
How to play
- Move the paddle with the mouse, by dragging a finger across the board, or with the ← → arrow keys.
- The ball starts resting on the paddle — launch it with a click, a tap or the space bar.
- Where the ball hits the paddle controls the bounce angle: the centre bounces straight up, the edges bounce sharply sideways. That is how you aim at bricks.
- Higher rows of bricks are worth more points (7, 5, 3 and 1 pts). On later levels the top bricks need two hits.
- You have 3 lives — you lose one when the ball falls below the paddle. After the ball touches the top wall, the paddle classically shrinks.
- Clear all the bricks to advance to the next level — the ball gets slightly faster and the brick layout changes. Pause with P or Esc.
