Requirements: - Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and the operating area with precision and efficiency. - Ensure that all medical documents, including medical records and surgical notes, are accurately recorded in electronic health record (EHR) systems. - Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. - Support patients by explaining procedures, measuring blood pressure, and ensuring their comfort during treatment. - Operate dental imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners, to obtain high-quality images necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning. - Manage dental materials and sterilization processes to keep the clinic adequately supplied for efficient operation. - Collaborate with the reception team to schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and effectively manage medical documentation. Qualifications: - Previous experience in dental assisting or a clinical environment is required, with a strong emphasis on oral surgery. - Proficiency in chairside assisting techniques is essential for supporting efficient procedures. - Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is crucial for maintaining a safe clinical environment. - Understanding of oral surgery principles and management of surgical patients is beneficial. - Ability to perform X-rays and operate medical imaging equipment. - Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, team members, and external healthcare providers.
