Which Mahjong tiles can be removed?

You can only remove a free tile: one with no tile resting on top of it and with an open left or right side. Tiles are removed in pairs — two identical ones, or, for Flowers and Seasons, any two from the same group.

Is every Mahjong deal solvable?

Yes. Deals are generated by reverse play: matching pairs are assigned one by one to free positions of the layout, so a removal order that clears the whole board always exists. The daily deal is identical for every player.

What do hints, shuffles and undo cost?

You race the clock and assists add penalties: a hint costs +10 seconds, shuffling the remaining tiles +60 seconds (at most 3 per game), and an undo +5 seconds (unlimited). Your final score is play time plus penalties.

How to play

Every deal is generated to be guaranteed solvable — if you get stuck, it is the removal order, not bad luck.
Hint highlights one available pair (+10 s penalty). Shuffle re-deals the remaining tiles solvably — at most 3 times (+60 s each). Undo is unlimited (+5 s per move).
The daily deal is identical for every player — compare times on the leaderboard. A practice deal is a random puzzle with its own leaderboard.
You win when the board is empty. Your score is play time plus penalties; best times are saved in your browser and on the leaderboard.
