🏙️ City Defense
← All gamesPlay City Defense online for free — a classic retro missile-defence arcade game. Enemy ballistic missiles fall from the top of the screen, aimed at your six cities and three anti-missile batteries. Click or tap the sky — the nearest battery with ammo launches an interceptor that detonates at that spot in a fireball that expands and then shrinks. Each battery carries only 10 missiles per wave, so aim wisely: one blast can take out several warheads at once. On higher waves missiles split mid-flight into 2–3 warheads (MIRV), and from wave 5 fast, weaving smart bombs appear. Every 10,000 points rebuilds one destroyed city. The game ends when all cities are gone. Your best score is saved in your browser.
How to play
- Click with the mouse or tap the sky — the nearest battery with ammo launches an interceptor that detonates exactly at that spot. You can also steer a crosshair with the arrow keys (or WASD) and fire with the space bar.
- The interceptor blast first expands and then shrinks — destroying every enemy warhead it touches. A destroyed warhead does not explode itself, but your blasts linger for a moment, so several overlapping explosions can wipe out a whole salvo.
- Each of the three batteries (left, centre, right) carries only 10 missiles per wave. A battery that takes a hit loses all its remaining ammo until the end of the wave — protect your batteries, not just the cities!
- Every warhead you shoot down scores 25 points and a smart bomb 125 — all multiplied by the wave multiplier, which rises from ×2 to ×6 every two waves.
- On higher waves missiles split mid-flight into 2–3 warheads (MIRV), and from wave 5 faster, weaving smart bombs appear — they are much harder to hit.
- After each wave you get a bonus: 5 points for every unused interceptor and 100 for every surviving city (times the multiplier). Every 10,000 points rebuilds one destroyed city. The game ends when all cities are gone. Pause: the P key or Escape.
