How do you play Battleship online?

First place your fleet of five ships on a 10×10 board (clicking places a ship, "Rotate" changes orientation, "Randomize" places them automatically). Then take turns with the computer firing at the enemy board: 🌊 is a miss, 💥 is a hit. Whoever sinks the opponent's entire fleet first wins.

How do the difficulty levels differ?

On Easy the computer fires completely at random. On Medium, after a hit it hunts around the hit cell and continues along the line. On Hard the AI computes ship-placement probabilities and aims at the most likely cells, so it plays noticeably better.

How to play

Your fleet of 5 ships bears the names of real Polish Navy vessels: destroyers ORP Błyskawica (5 cells) and ORP Grom (4), submarines ORP Orzeł and ORP Sęp (3 each) and ORP Żbik (2) — 17 cells total on a 10×10 board.
Placement: click a cell to place the next ship. The "🔄 Rotate" button changes orientation (horizontal/vertical), and "🎲 Randomize" places the whole fleet automatically. Ships may not overlap but may touch. When the fleet is ready, click "▶ Start".
Firing: click a cell on the enemy board to take a shot. 🌊 is a miss, 💥 is a hit, and a fully sunk ship is highlighted in red.
After every hit you fire again; after a miss the turn passes to the computer. Whoever sinks the opponent's entire fleet first wins.
Difficulty levels: Easy — the computer fires at random; Medium — after a hit it hunts around and along the line; Hard — the AI computes ship-placement probabilities and aims at the most likely cells.
The counter shows your number of shots. The fewer shots to victory, the better your score — best scores are saved in your browser.
