Honoring Memorial Day
Honoring Memorial Day, a federal holiday dedicated to honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who lost their lives in military service.
Event Description
On Monday, May 25, we observe Memorial Day - a federal holiday dedicated to honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who lost their lives in military service. Originally established after the Civil War as "Decoration Day", the holiday became a national day of remembrance for all American service members who died in wartime. Throughout American history, countless Polish Americans also served in the armed forces and made sacrifices in defense of their adopted homeland. Please note that the Polish Museum of America and PRCUA offices will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday. Wishing all a safe and peaceful holiday weekend!
