Event Description

On Monday, September 21, Beata Pawlikowska represented the Polish Museum in America at the 48th celebration of Peace Day in Chicago. Peace Day was initiated in 1978 and is organized annually by The Peace School. Each participating organization received a space to display promotional materials, allowing them to present their activities and mission. Many schools attended with students to participate in the event, and the program featured dance groups and special guests, including an 8th-grade student who works for peace. Representatives from 80 countries were present through consular services. The entire event served as an important reminder that WE are the true builders of peace, which can and should be built by people on the borders, between generations and races.
