Polish School of General K. Pulaski with a Visit
Students from the Polish School of General K. Pulaski visited the Polish Museum of America on Saturday, October 3.
Event Description
On Saturday, October 3, students from the Polish School of General K. Pulaski from grades 6, 7, 8, and high school freshman class visited the PMA. They were interested in viewing and discussing art works related to their school's patron as well as learning about other Polish heroes who fought on American soil. The students learned that absorbing art requires deep observation and searching for clues that the artist may have hidden in the work that help unlock its deeper meaning. In the Gallery, the students looked for the work that spoke most deeply to each one of them. They were very interested in the Paderewski Room as well as in the rest of the galleries. It was very gratifying to lead a group of interested young people who wanted to learn more about the exhibits, especially since the guides have a personal link to the school's history.
