Disclaimer
Last updated: May 20, 2026
IMPORTANT: Please read this document carefully before using informacja.com. By using our service, you accept the terms described below.
1. Informational Nature of Content
All content published on informacja.com — including guides, articles, news, business directory entries, classifieds, events, and user comments — is for informational and educational purposes only.
informacja.com is a community information portal for the Polish diaspora. Our goal is to help navigate complex matters related to living abroad — but the information on the portal does not substitute for professional advice.
2. No Professional Advice
Content on informacja.com DOES NOT CONSTITUTE and SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS:
- Legal advice
- Immigration advice
- Tax advice
- Financial, investment, or banking advice
- Insurance advice
- Medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice
- Career or professional advice
- Real estate advice
- Expert opinion in legal matters
Before making any financial, legal, immigration, or health-related decision, consult a licensed professional in the appropriate field.
3. No Legal Advice
informacja.com is not a law firm. The Administrator, content authors, and contributors are not (in most cases) licensed attorneys, and even where authors have legal education, their content does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Using this service does not replace consultation with a licensed attorney. For specific legal situations, always consult an attorney licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
Law varies significantly:
- Between countries (USA, Poland, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, etc.)
- Between US states (each of 50 states has different civil, family, probate, tax law)
- Between Canadian provinces
- Between German Länder
- Between counties and cities (local ordinances)
Information on the site may be correct in one jurisdiction but outdated or incorrect in another.
4. No Immigration Advice
Immigration laws (USCIS in USA, UK Home Office, German BAMF, Canadian IRCC, Australian Department of Home Affairs, etc.) change frequently and without notice.
Content concerning:
- Visas, passports, work permits
- Residency status, Green Card, PR
- Naturalization and citizenship
- Asylum, refugee protection
- Family sponsorship
- Deportation, overstay, visa violations
- EAD, work authorization
...DOES NOT CONSTITUTE IMMIGRATION ADVICE. Errors in immigration matters can result in deportation, entry bans, or other serious consequences.
Always consult a licensed immigration attorney or a DOJ Accredited Representative in the USA. List of accredited representatives and attorneys: AILA — American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Warning: Never use the services of persons who are not licensed immigration attorneys (so-called "notarios" in the USA — the term "notario" in the USA does NOT mean what it does in Poland/Mexico/Spain; in the USA, a notario CANNOT provide immigration advice).
5. No Tax or Financial Advice
Content about taxes (IRS in USA, HMRC in UK, Finanzamt in Germany, ATO in Australia, tax offices in Poland), investments, loans, retirement accounts (401k, IRA, ZUS, Super), insurance, money transfers — does not constitute tax or financial advice.
Every tax situation is unique. Before making financial decisions, consult:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in the USA
- Polish tax advisor in Poland
- Steuerberater in Germany
- Tax Agent in Australia
- Licensed financial advisor (Certified Financial Planner)
- Tax attorney for complex matters
6. No Medical Advice
Information about health, health insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, NHS, NFZ, Medicare AU), medications, medical procedures does not constitute medical advice.
For health matters, always consult a licensed physician, nurse, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional.
In life-threatening situations, immediately call 911 (USA), 999 (UK), 112 (EU), or the appropriate local emergency number.
7. No Accuracy Guarantee
Despite due diligence in preparing content, the Administrator does not guarantee:
- Accuracy of information
- Currency of information
- Completeness of information
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Absence of errors or omissions
Content is published "as is" and "as available".
Information comes from various sources: official government sites, Polish community organizations, community experience, media. Despite verification efforts, content may contain errors or be outdated.
Always verify information at the official source (uscis.gov, irs.gov, zus.pl, gov.pl, gov.uk, ato.gov.au, etc.) before taking action.
8. Laws and Procedures Change
Laws, regulations, forms, fees, processing times, and procedures change constantly.
Content on the site reflects the state as of the publication date (usually a "last updated" date is visible). Between publication and your reading, days, weeks, or years may pass.
Examples of changes that may have occurred:
- Increases in USCIS application fees, passport fees, visa fees
- Changes in processing times
- New forms or withdrawal of old ones
- Changes in SNAP, Medicaid, benefit income limits
- Tax law changes
- Polish Civil Code changes, ZUS, KRUS changes
- Immigration law changes
Always verify current information at official sources.
9. User-Generated Content
informacja.com contains user-generated content including:
- Classifieds
- Business directory entries (Yellow Pages)
- Events
- Comments and opinions (where this feature is active)
- Business and event reviews
The Administrator DOES NOT VERIFY all user-generated content. Such content is presented "as is" and does not reflect the Administrator's views.
The Administrator reserves the right to moderate, remove, or edit content violating the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, but has no obligation to do so in real time.
By using services offered by other users (contacting a business, buying a classified, attending an event), you act at your own risk. The Administrator is not a party to any transaction between users.
10. AI-Generated Translations and Content
informacja.com uses external artificial intelligence (AI) services to translate content between Polish and English. In particular, translations from Polish (source language of guides) to English may be performed by language models (OpenAI gpt-4o-mini or similar).
Consequences:
- Translations may contain semantic, grammatical, or cultural errors
- Legal, medical, or technical terminology may be translated imprecisely
- The English translation should be treated as supplementary
- The Polish version is the source (canonical) version
In case of discrepancies between Polish and English versions, the Polish version prevails. The English version is provided for convenience of English-speaking Polish community members.
Some content may be marked as human-verified (manually reviewed). Absence of such marking means the translation is AI-generated without human verification.
11. External Links
The site contains links to external pages (USCIS, IRS, ZUS, gov.pl, gov.uk, etc.). The Administrator does not control and is not responsible for:
- Content of external sites
- Availability of external sites
- Privacy policies of external sites
- Security of external sites
- Practices of businesses listed in the directory
Links are provided in good faith. Use of external sites is at the user's own risk.

You use informacja.com at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Administrator is not liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Lost profits, data, reputation, opportunities

- Consequences of using services of businesses listed in the directory
- Consequences of transactions with other users
- Consequences of technical interruptions in site operation

Full limitation of liability is in the Terms of Service.
13. No Professional Relationship
Using informacja.com, including reading guides, contacting the Administrator via the contact form, or any other interaction with the site DOES NOT CREATE:
- An attorney-client relationship
- A doctor-patient relationship
- A tax advisor-client relationship
- A financial advisor-client relationship
- Any other professional relationship
Messages to the Administrator are not protected by professional privilege. Do not send confidential legal, medical, or financial information — there is no purpose, as we are not your attorney or doctor.
